Previous conferences

2017:  This conference  was held on 3rd April, 2017  and provided an avenue for PGR students from a range of disciplines to get together to expand their knowledge and experiences related to their research. The event had different sessions: oral presentations (20 minutes), poster session, lunch and social event.

 

Keynote Speaker-Dr Hao Lee is an alumnus PhD student of Mechanical Engineering. Since his graduation in 2015, he has undertaken the role of SIMULIA Solution Consultant at Dassault Systemes in Warrington, UK. As a keynote speaker, he will share both his experience at University of Manchester and the transition to his current role in the industry

  • 2016: The annual PGR Conference organized by the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering was held on 22nd March 2016. The scope of this conference was mainly for second and third-year PGR students to showcase their achievements and research highlights and present their studies to the wider community. This conference was a platform to represent students’ chosen disciplines with an emphasis on academic excellence based on research, discovery, innovation and collaboration with industry.

  • 2014: On the 9th April 2014 the School of MACE once again held its conference for postgraduate research (PGR) students. The day was well attended by nearly 60 delegates with many students vying for the top prize of £1250. Achievements and experiences of research tracks [i.e. Structures and Dynamics: From Buildings to Flapping Wings, Modelling & Simulation, Environment, Climate Change, Nuclear and Managements of Projects, and Advanced Manufacturing] were shared and discussed during the day.
