Project: 2D Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion

2D materials, such as graphene and MoS2, are widely used in the field of energy storage and conversion like batteries and supercapacitors. One novel avenue Jie is very keen to explore is the prospect of “photo-supercapacitors” based on 2D materials. By modulating the illumination frequency, Jie will try to maximise the (photo-induced) capacitive response in the materials.
