Summary
Established in 1977, Victoria’s Secret grew rapidly and became one of the largest lingerie brands. However, the recent impact of the pandemic meant they were forced to close more than 200 stores (Statista, 2022). During this period of isolation, consumers reflected upon their interests and desires. This meant the majority of Gen-Z consumers and Millennials became strong supporters of sustainability and inclusivity.
Establishing a new strategic direction which targets current consumer demands would significantly improve the current brand perception and generate future profits. VS will use market penetration to focus attention on a transparent supply chain, be more inclusive in their products and marketing while demonstrating innovative technology.
