Within that: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mace.manchester.ac.uk\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With a near 200-year engineering history connecting us to Manchester&#8217;s emergence as the world&#8217;s first industrial city, we&#8217;re proud of our heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Today, we strive to maintain and improve the standard of the Manchester engineering education experience.\u00a0Our practical and exciting courses, which we develop alongside industrial and international engineering leaders, leave students fulfilled and employable on graduation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Allied to this, our Department possesses fantastic facilities, including our brand new <a href=\"https:\/\/stories.manchester.ac.uk\/exploremecd\/\">MECD building<\/a> and has a great depth of academic knowledge &#8211; all of which makes The University of Manchester an ideal place of study for a budding engineer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But don\u2019t just take our word for it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ahead of our upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manchester.ac.uk\/study\/undergraduate\/open-days-visits\/open-days\/\">Undergraduate Open Day,<\/a> we caught up with some of our students who shared with us why they chose Manchester as the place to study their engineering degree.<\/p>\n<h2>Aerospace engineering<\/h2>\n<p>For Alejandra, it was the size of the University and the diversity of engineering modules she can take as part of her course.
