Hannah studied her MChem at the University of Manchester; as part of her degree, she had an exchange year at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Her masters project focussed on the synthesis and characterisation of helical graphene nanoribbons. Upon completing her degree in 2021, she joined the graphene NOWNANO CDT at the university.

The CDT led to her current project with the Dryfe group, which focusses on using water-in-salt electrolytes to develop novel redox-flow batteries.
