Congratulations on your offer to study in the Department of Materials. We are excited to welcome you to the University in October.<\/p>\n

We understand it\u2019s a bit of a strange time to be embarking on university study, so that\u2019s why we\u2019ve put together this blog and a welcome message from our Head of Department Sarah Cartmell. She will endeavour to answer questions related to your application and starting with us in the autumn, but if you are still unsure of anything, please do get in touch.<\/p>\n

We want to reassure you that we are working hard to make sure you still receive the same world-class teaching that you would get in any normal year. While our lectures will be delivered online at least for the first semester, we are hopeful that smaller teaching groups and lab work will still be able to take place on campus. We\u2019ve been closely following government advice and adapting our teaching facilities so that you can still take advantage of our excellent equipment and have access to study support and your course leaders. Your safety is our number one priority.<\/p>\n
