Coffee and lunches will be provided at the workshop venue and are included in the registration fee. If you have special dietary requirements, please indicate this on the registration form.

The workshop dinner will be held on Monday night at the Manchester Museum and is also included in the conference fee.

Transport

Manchester can be easily reached by air (http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk), train or car.

If arriving by plane you have these options to reach the conference venue or nearby hotels:

Rail
Rail is the fastest and cheapest way to reach the conference venue from the airport with direct trains to and from Manchester Piccadilly train station. Manchester Piccadilly is only a 10 minute walk from the conference venue and nearby hotels. You will find the rail link at Manchester Airport by following signs from Arrivals to “The Station”. Journey times vary from 13 minutes (non-stop) to 25 minutes. Trains depart approximately every 5 minutes during the day, and there are at least three services per hour at all times from 04.00 to around 01.20 (1.20am). As of June 2015, a single (one-way) ticket from Manchester Airport to Piccadilly costs £4.90 during peak travel hours or £4.20 off-peak.Train times and fares can be found on the National Rail Enquires website (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk)

Taxi
A taxi from the airport to the venue costs £20-£25 (one way) and takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Note the distinction between two varieties of taxi in the UK: true taxis (‘black cabs’), available for immediate hire, and private hire vehicles (‘minicabs’), which must be pre-booked. Manchester Airport offers a taxi booking service in the arrivals hall. Private hires are generally cheaper, but you may have to wait for your car. You can hire a black cab straight away from the rank outside the terminal building.
